Located between the skyscrapers of Songdo, Songdo Central Park is a seaside park. The 1.8㎞ long waterway, which is designed to bring in seawater, becomes shiny in the sunlight. As a Songdo’s representative tourist attraction, it enables visitors to enjoy a water taxi, water sports experience and cycling. At night, the light pouring from the building and the lights illuminating the park create a fantastic night view.

One of the greatest pleasures of traveling to Songdo International City is shopping. Such large-scale shopping malls as Hyundai Premium Outlet, Triple Street, and NC Cube Canal Walk are cited as good shopping places adored not only by Koreans but also by foreign tourists.

Geojampo on Yeongjongdo Island faces the eastern sea, so it is the only port in the Seoul metropolitan area where you can see both the sunset and sunrise over the sea. Many tourists visit here at the end of the year and at the beginning of the year. The scenery of the red sea rising around the uninhabited island of Maerangdo Island (called Shark Island because of its shark fin shape) is a spectacular sight.

Baegunsan Mountain in the center of Yeongjongdo Island has a gentle dirt road, making it a perfect trekking course. At the summit, you can see the islands scattered over the sea and the land beyond. The Yonggungsa Temple in the middle of the mountainside was erected by Buddhist Monk Wonhyo about 1,000 years ago and the inscription plaque handwritten by Heungseon Daewongun is hanging on the Temple.
